Adriana
Fernández was born in Buenos Aires. She joined the Children’s
Choir of the Colón Theatre as a soloist conducted by
Peter Maag. She performed “Midsummer Night’s Dream”
by Mendelssohn, “Vesperae Solennes de Confessore”
by Mozart and played the part of the Child in “L’Enfant
et les Sortilèges” by Ravel.
After
graduating at the National Academy of Music in Buenos Aires,
she studies with Ernest Haefliger, Philippe Huttenlocher, Aldo
Baldin, Heather Harper and Helmuth Rilling during the Bach Academy
in Buenos Aires.
In order to complete her musical education she decided to study
with Eric Tappy and achieved her studies with the First Virtuosity
Price at the Academy of Music of Geneva.
She attends the first Verbier Academy in 1994 and is able to
deepen her knowledge in the melody, the lied and the opera repertoire.

de la Rosa” by Tomás de Torrejón y Velazco
a co-production with the Zarzuela Theater of Madrid.

The Geneva Chamber Orchestra, The Lausanne Chamber Orchestra,
The Verbier Festival Orchestra, The Israel Chamber Orchestra,
The Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra, The National Symphonic
Orchestra (Buenos Aires), The Stable Orchestra of the Colón
Theatre and in concerts halls such as The Palau de la Musica
and the Auditori in Barcelona, The Suntory Hall in Tokyo. The
Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna, The Victoria Hall in Geneva, The
Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.
She has been conducted by Maag, John Nelson, Armin Jordan, Kurt
Masur and Michel Corboz
Since
1990, Adriana Fernández has specialised in baroque music
and has joined Gabriel Garrido’s ensemble: Elyma.
She performs and records European baroque music but also South
American baroque music, Renaissance music and Italian madrigals.

Adriana Fernández has also been invited to teach voice
during the Cursos Internacionales Manuel de Falla in Granada
Spain in July 2003, during the Académie in Ambronay in
July 2003 and at the Early Music Courses of Barbaste in February
2004.
Adriana Fernández has recorded with Symphonia, K617,
Alia-Vox, Pavane Records and Zig-zag territoires.
